Suzuki Teacher Trainer

By eighth grade, I knew I wanted to be a teacher of some kind. Both my parents were teachers who enjoyed their profession. My growing love for music and the violin helped to show me something I would enjoy and love doing every day: playing and teaching violin (and viola!)

I enjoy teaching both students and adults.   Teacher Training is one of the ways to give back to the community and help those who want to participate in spreading the joy of music in their own locality.

Liz became a Teacher Trainer in 2000 and currently does Teacher Training both Online and In-Person along with Hybrid Courses.

Upcoming Training & Registration

  • Pre-requisite: Every Child Can! (ECC)
    Format: Dual Delivery, In-Person or Online (All times are Pacific Standard Time-PST)
    I hope the intensive hours will encourage you to schedule coming In-Person!!!
    Class Size: Minimum class size: 4, Maximum class size: 10
    Required Course Time: 15 hours of Pedagogy class time, 8 hours of observation, 1 project assignments during class.
    Tuition: $750
    Deadline to Register: August 24th, 2024
    Dates: 2024 Pacific Standard Time: 

    • First Class: Saturday, August 31: 3:00pm to 6:30pm (3 ½ hr)

    • Sunday, September 1: 9:00am to 12noon & 1:30pm to 4:30pm (6hr)

    • Monday, September 2: 8:00am to 12noon & 1:00pm to 3:00pm (6hr)

    • Sunday, September 8:   8:00am to 12noon & 1:00pm to 3:30pm (6 ½ hr)

    • Sunday, September 15:   8:00am to 12noon & 1:00pm to 3:00pm (6hr)
